Yee Chee graduated from the University of London with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree in 2008. She obtained her Certificate in Legal Practice in 2009 and was called to the High Court of Malaya as an Advocate and Solicitor in 2010.
Yee Chee focuses her practice on equity capital markets, mergers and acquisitions and other corporate and commercial matters. She is actively involved in initial public offerings, post-IPO regulatory compliance, mergers and acquisitions of companies and businesses, joint ventures, takeovers, private equity funds, tax exemptions and other corporate restructurings. She also advised several listed issuers on the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Market ("HKEX") in respect of their open offers and rights issues to their respective Malaysian shareholders.
She has worked on a wide range of cross-border and domestic transactions and has successfully listed, amongst others, Malaysian companies on the Main Board and Growth Enterprise Market of the HKEX. Her clients span the Asia Pacific region – Malaysia, Hong Kong, South Korea, PRC, Singapore and Philippines.
Yee Chee speaks fluent English, Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia and is able to converse in Cantonese, Hokkien and Hakka.

- Advising on the proposed listing of a Malaysia based company involved in the recycling of scrap ferrous metals and used batteries on the Main Board of HKEX.
- Advising on the proposed listing of a PRC based company involved in the construction business on the Main Board of HKEX.
- Advising on the proposed listing of a Malaysia based wholesale trader, distributor and importer of mobile phones, tablet and cell phone accessories company on the GEM of HKEX.
- Advised on the listing of a mining company on the Main Board of HKEX.

- Advised on the listing of a system integration and maintenance services company based in Korea on the GEM of HKEX.

- Advised on the legal due diligence review, drafted and reviewed legal documents/agreements in respect of an investment of USD2 billion coal-fired independent power plant project in Vietnam.
- Advised on legal due diligence review in respect of debt restructuring of approximately RM750 million of debt for a public company.
- Advised and drafted funding agreement for a Singaporean private equity fund as funder to acquire shares of a company listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia.
- Advised and drafted transaction agreements for a Singaporean private equity fund as funder in relation to its funding of up to RM30 million to a company predominantly involved in mining of granite in Malaysia for the purpose of its mining expansion.
- Drafted turnkey construction agreement (and the translation of the same to Mandarin) in respect of a proposed development and construction of an integrated complex comprising of podium complex with retail walkway, gaming facilities, conference and hotel facilities with garden and car parks for a company listed on the Main Board of HKEX which is principally engaged in the operation of an integrated casino, hotel and entertainment complex in Cambodia. and
- Advised on the voluntary general offer of a company listed on Main Market of Bursa Malaysia.
